1. Introduction
Welcome to Urban Greenhouse, an online community dedicated primarily to the propagation, cultivation and sharing of knowledge about fruit trees, nut trees and related gardening and horticultural activities.
Urban Greenhouse is intended to provide a place where members can communicate, exchange knowledge and experiences, ask questions, share photographs and information, and participate in discussions relating to growing and propagation.
The website may in future expand its subject matter to include additional areas such as quail keeping, small-scale food production, sustainable gardening, homesteading and related activities.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Urban Greenhouse website, services, features, forums, groups, profiles, comments and other member areas.
By registering for an account, accessing member-only areas or otherwise using the website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not register for or participate in the Urban Greenhouse community.
2. Membership Required
Urban Greenhouse is a membership-based community.

Urban Greenhouse is intended to be a constructive community.

- make unlawful threats;

- you have obtained appropriate permission where required;
- the information is not knowingly fraudulent or misleading; and
- the material complies with these Terms.
9. Ownership of Your Content
You retain ownership of original intellectual property that you lawfully own and submit to Urban Greenhouse.
However, by submitting content to the website, you grant Urban Greenhouse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain and promote the Urban Greenhouse community.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your copyright to Urban Greenhouse.
You should not submit confidential information, trade secrets or material that you do not want to be displayed to other members.
10. Other Members’ Content
Content posted by members represents the views, experiences or opinions of those members and not necessarily the views of Urban Greenhouse.

- pruning;
- fertilisation;
- pest control;
- plant treatment;
- gardening equipment;
- animal keeping;
- food production; or
- any other activity
may be based on personal experience and may not be appropriate for every situation.
Urban Greenhouse does not guarantee that member-generated information is accurate, complete or suitable for your particular circumstances.
11. Horticultural and Other Information
Urban Greenhouse provides a platform for the exchange of information and experiences.
Information published on the website should not automatically be regarded as professional, scientific, agricultural, veterinary, medical, legal or other professional advice.
Members should consider their own circumstances, local conditions, applicable legislation and professional advice where appropriate.
This is particularly important where information could affect:
- plant health;
- animal health;
- food safety;

- chemical or pesticide use;
- agricultural production; or
- financial investment.
Members are responsible for their own decisions and actions.
12. Future Quail and Animal-Related Content

13. Prohibited Content
You may not submit or distribute content that:
- is unlawful;
- contains malicious software;
- promotes fraud or criminal activity;
- infringes copyright or other intellectual-property rights;
- contains another person’s confidential or private information without appropriate authority;
- constitutes harassment or unlawful discrimination;
- contains credible threats of violence;
- is deliberately deceptive or fraudulent;
- contains excessive or inappropriate sexual material;
- promotes exploitation or abuse;
- is intended primarily to distribute spam;
- attempts to manipulate or disrupt the community; or
- otherwise violates these Terms or applicable law.
Urban Greenhouse reserves the right to remove or restrict content that violates these rules.
14. Moderation
Urban Greenhouse reserves the right, but does not assume an obligation, to moderate content and member activity.
We may, where reasonably necessary:
- remove posts or comments;
- edit or restrict content;
- close discussions;
- issue warnings;
- restrict particular website functions;
- suspend accounts;
- terminate memberships; or
- take other reasonable action to protect the community and website.
Moderation decisions may take into account the nature of the content, the circumstances, repeated behaviour, complaints received, privacy concerns, security concerns and applicable law.
Urban Greenhouse is not required to monitor every post, comment or communication.
15. Reporting Problems
If you believe that another member has violated these Terms, compromised your privacy, posted unlawful material or otherwise acted inappropriately, please report the matter to Urban Greenhouse.

- a description of the problem; and
- any information necessary for us to investigate the matter.
We may investigate reported conduct and take appropriate action.
